What is Chasing Tail?

Chasing Tail is a lewd furry pinup magazine. Each issue features dozens of nude photos of models throughout the fandom.

How often do new issues come out?

We release issues twice a year, in late June and late November.

Do you include a centerfold?

Yes, each magazine is shipped with a 25.5x11’’ full-color double-sided centerfold.

How are the magazines shipped?

All magazines are shipped in a plain, unmarked manila envelope. Within the US, we use untracked USPS First Class. Average delivery time is about 1 week. Outside of the US, we use GlobalPost. Canadians can expect their magazine in 1-2 weeks, Europeans 2-3 weeks, Australians 4-5 weeks.

Who shoots the photos for Chasing Tail?

Julius Caesar (caesarsnep) primarily shoots women, and Spunky (SpunkyH0rn) primarily shoots men.

How do I model for Chasing Tail?

Chasing Tail has no formal model selection process. We are not accepting model solicitations at this time.

Why are there two covers for each release? Which one will I receive?

Each issue is double-sided and flips over like a Waffle House menu. Each issue is divided into two sections: The women’s side and the men’s side. You can read the side you prefer; however, we do recommend that you read through both!

Where do gender non-conforming people go?

We thoroughly discuss presentation with models before they are photographed and place them on the side they are most comfortable being on.

Are models paid?

Models receive a flat negotiable commission for their time modeling.

Do you include pup/horse/deer masks, dino masks, or any other gear hoods?

Only fursuits.

What equipment do you use?

We primarily use the Bronica GS-1, a medium format film camera system. For centerfolds, we shoot with various large format cameras. The majority of the film we shoot is Kodak Portra 160. For lights, we use a mix of new and vintage flash units.

Do you edit/retouch your photos?

As we state on the cover, we do not use Photoshop or retouch our models in any way. This includes blemish removal and digital skin smoothing. When we receive the images from our film lab, we will set the black point, crop, and adjust color temperature; that is the extent of digital image manipulation we will do.

How do you get that glowy/dreamy look?

We use a variety of on-camera diffusion filters. What you see is what exists on the film negatives.

Do you keep older issues in print?

If an issue is listed as “Retired,” it is permanently out of print and will not be restocked. Issues listed as “Out of stock” will be restocked in the future.

Is there a digital/PDF version available?

Chasing Tail is only available as a print magazine. Our layouts are optimized for viewing on paper. This allows us to maintain tight control of color and scale.

Do you use AI?

We do not use AI for any purpose. All photographs, art, writing, and layouts are 100% untouched by AI. We use decade-old versions of Lightroom and InDesign that are completely free of generative AI.
